| Origin/distribution, remarks: | Widely distributed in Africa, from Morocco and Egypt, south to South Africa. Also in Arabia and widely in India and Sri Lanka. Parasite. Across most of its range only on wild hosts. In West Africa it occurs on cowpea, in East Africa on tobacco. |
